Travertine is formed at the mouth of hot springs or in Limestone caves
Travertine’s key characteristics are the natural holes within the stone which are caused by carbon dioxide evasion as the stone is setting. The holes add texture to the finish but can be filled in at the timing of grouting. Travertine is a hardy and durable material suitable for heavy foot traffic. It is also resistant to temperature changes, so an excellent option as outdoor pool coping and/or paving.
Classic Travertine has beautiful blends of creams and tans that practically go with everything.
